The Persuaders is a pilot for a serial drama set in the world of union organizing campaigns. Longline: “Persuaders and union organizers must find the humanity in themselves before they become the enemies they fight.”

This was the first screenplay I wrote, and man did I spend a ton of time developing material for the show. I’ve got a bible, beaucoup characters and storylines, and a unique behind-the-curtain perspective on the whacky world of NLRA elections.

The one thing I can safely say is that for about 99.99% of you, there’s very little about these campaigns that works the way you probably imagine, no matter how you imagine it.

As a friend of mine tells clients as their eyes boggle at the sheer volume and variety of new things happening that they don’t understand: “Sorry to have to tell you this, but the circus has come to town!”

He and I both conceive of ourselves as dunk-tank clowns. It’s a weird gig.
